Getting ready to try Vonage and VOIP

Got a question for those who have tried VOIP and Vonage:  How has it worked for you?

I'm getting tired of dealing with overpriced phone companies and I'm ready for a change.

We have DSL.  What about the quality of Vonage service?  Does it work for day-to-day phone use?  Any stories?
