From my online reading for this morning:
- Gov. Granholm's State of the State address: Detroit Free Press has short preview of her address tomorrow night where she shares her assessment of Michigan's condition and her proposals to improve it. Question: Given the shortness of the story and very few details, are expectations low for what she will say?
- Republican leader agrees with Granholm: Detroit News also has a very short sidebar advance story about Granholm's State of the State. Caught my eye: House Republican leader Kevin Elsenheimer agreed with Granholm about a tuition freeze for state colleges. I didn't no Republicans were allowed to agree with her and vice versa.
- Ford Focus to have battery-powered model: Detroit News reports about Ford plans to have by next year a production version of the Ford Focus that's battery-powered. Most of the model's electric powertrain will be produced by a Canadian company, Magna International.
