The Lansing (MI) City Council this year is enforcing its Rule 19 which regulates decorum including the reaction of audience members in the council meeting audiences.
Regular commenters at council meetings have been sharply critical of efforts to stop applause during the public comment period.
At today's "Second Saturday" meeting, Third Ward City Council-member A'Lynne Robinson asked her constituents for their reaction. This video includes a major portion of that discussion:
